NOTIFICATION RE:
Badminton Ontario’s Decision for a Delayed 2020-2021 Season Start
To all District Member Associations:
We are writing to inform you that Badminton Ontario is currently not in the position to deliver tournaments and events starting in the traditional month of September given the landscape caused by COVID-19.
With that being said, we have made the tough decision to delay the start of the 2020-2021 competition season. The tradition September start for our competition season will not occur as all September events will be postponed. A tentative competition calendar will be posted, however, we will continue to monitor the situation and address the ability to deliver tournament events on a month by month basis
Updates will be communicated on a regular basis as well as posted on the website; and we hope that the situation will change in the near future for Badminton Ontario to address and share a safe Return to Competition Plan.
Thank you for your time and ongoing effort in the badminton community.
We hope you continue to stay safe during this time.
On behalf of the Competitions Committee and Board of Directors,
Sincerely,
Jean Wong
Technical Director
Badminton Ontario
