Ontario Adult Open A-B-CD Championships

Date: March 13-15, 2015

Location: Humber College (205 Humber College Blvd, Toronto, ON)

Eligibility: All players (including out of province athletes) in Ontario Adult Series Open ABCD Championship events must have a current Performance A Membership Card. You can purchase your card at www.badmintonontario.ca. Non card holders will be subject to a $20 non-refundable levy fee.
A non-Canadian citizen, who does not have landed immigrant status, must have resided in Canada for 12 months prior to the date of the tournament. A player is not eligible if such player has played in a closed championship in any other province or in any other country in the playing year in which the tournament is held. Any player who is a member of affiliated clubs in more than one district and competes in a closed championship in one district is automatically declared a member of that district and that club for the Provincial Championships.

Ontario Masters Championships 2015

Date: March 13-15, 2015

Eligibility: Ontario players only, no out of province participants permitted. All players in Ontario Masters Series events must have a current Competitive B Membership Card. You can purchase your card at www.badmintonontario.ca. Non card holders will be subject to a $20 non-refundable and non-transferable levy fee. Each player is allowed to enter into a maximum of 2 singles, 2 doubles, or 2 mixed across differing age groups totaling a maximum of 5 events for this tournament. i.e. such as 35+ Doubles/Mixed and 40+ Doubles/Mixed.


Black Knight – Ontario Junior (A) High Performance Championships

Date: March 27-29, 2015

Location: Markham Pan Am Centre (16 Main Street Unionville, Unionville, ON)

Eligibility: Ontario players only, no out of province participants permitted. All participants must have a 14.15 Performance A Membership Card.
Each junior athlete can only play in ONE Ontario Junior Championship.

This is a Closed Ontario Championships. The top 24 ranked players in U19, the top 22 ranked players in U16 and the top 20 ranked players in U14 with more than 2500 points in any one event (singles, doubles, mixed) are automatic qualifiers for the 14.15 Provincial Jr A HP Championships.
Please also note that automatic qualifiers for the 14.15 Provincial Jr A HP Championship are restricted from playing the 14.15 Provincial Jr B/C Championships.
There are no ranking/seeding qualifications or restrictions for U12 or U10 age groups, however please be reminded that U10 and U12 players are only permitted to participate in one Ontario Junior Championship for the 14.15 seasons.

Any player who qualifies in one discipline may enter in all disciplines of the same age group. Any player that qualifies or plays in the Ontario Jr. A Championship cannot play in the Ontario Jr. B Championships in any age group

Each Badminton Ontario district can nominate one girl’s singles and one boy’s singles player, one girls’ and one boy’s doubles team and one mixed doubles team in each age group who otherwise did not qualify by points


Black Knight – Ontario Junior (B) Competitive Championships

Date: April 10-12, 2015

Eligibility: All participants must have any 14.15 Competition B Membership Card.
Each junior athlete can only play in one Ontario Junior Championship. If you have played in the Junior (A) Championships on March 27-29 2015, you CANNOT play in the Junior HP (B) Championships!

This is an open Ontario Championships; Ontario players only, no out of province participants permitted. A Jr B Championship participant must have played a minimum of one (1) event in a Jr B-Circuit to be eligible for the Jr B Championship. Athletes are eligible to participate in the Jr (B) Championships 2015 if they play in one of the ten listed Jr (B) events in the handbook/online with a valid membership. If an athlete wishes to be ranked, they must participate in at least one of the five specified B tournaments with ranking points/banner points (#1, #2, #4, #5, #7).

NOBA players are exempted from mandatory participation in one of the ten Jr (B) Circuit events to be eligible for Jr (B) Championships. A formal written exemption request must be sent to Badminton Ontario at least 2 weeks before the event.

The following players are excluded from playing in the Ontario Junior BC Competitive Championships (Apr 10-12, 2015): Any pre-qualified player of the Provincial Jr A Championship in ANY event, and any player who participated in the Provincial Junior A Championship in any event.
