Team Canada: 2021 BWF Sudirman Cup

2021 Sudirman Cup Canadian Team

  • Rachel Chan – Ontario
  • Catherine Choi – Ontario
  • Crystal Lai– Ontario
  • BR Sankeerth – Ontario
  • Nyl Yakura – Ontario
  • Brian Yang – Ontario

Team Canada takes the court at the 2021 BWF Sudirman Cup in Vantaa, Finland September 26 – October 3rd, 2021.

The team is very young and it is an exciting tournament for Team Canada as there is great effort from all our team members. So far, Canada has taken two big wins. Brian played extremely well defeating one of the top players in the world. Rachel had a solid win defeating one of the top Juniors in Asia.

“This is hopefully very motivational for all our future badminton players that want to be representing Canada on the world stage”, said National Head Coach, Mike Butler. “The timing is good that we are also starting events back home getting our athletes back on court in a tournament setting. The future looks bright for Badminton in Canada.”
