Full-time / Part-time Coaching Opportunity – RW Badminton Club

RW BADMINTON CLUB : FULL-TIME / PART-TIME COACH

Position:
■ FULL TIME / PART TIME HIGH PERFORMANCE COACH
Terms of Employment:
■ Permanent, full-time, part-time, day, evening, weekend.

Salary:
■ $20-$30 hourly


Anticipated Start Date:
■ As soon as possible

Experience:
■ Minimum 3 years of coaching experience

Language:
■ Speak English, read English, write English


Sports Concentration:
■ Badminton


Specific duties:
■ Assist the Head Coach with High Performance Training program development;

■ Participate in training sessions and coach meetings;

■ Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions;

■ Develop, plan and co-ordinate competitive schedules and programs;

■ Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games;

■ Analyze and evaluate athletes’ or teams’ performance;

■ Observe and evaluate prospective athletes’ skills and performance;

■ Provide feedback to players, parents and the Club;

■ May represent the Club in communicating with the Badminton Ontario, the Toronto District Badminton Association, and participate in their activities.

Work site environment:
■ non-smoking


Transportation:
■ own transportation


Essential skills:
■ reading text, numeracy, writing, oral communication;

■ with others, problem solving, decision making;

■ job task planning and organizing.


Other requirements:
■ Minimum 3 years of coaching experience in Badminton;

■ National or international Badminton competition experience;

■ National and/or international championship title holders will be given preferential consideration.
