Cancelling Badminton Ontario’s 2020-2021 Season December Events

To all District Member Associations and clubs:
Badminton Ontario still believes that it is in the best interest and safety of the athletes, officials, coaches, volunteers, staff, and sport to further delay the 2020-2021 competition season. As a result, we would like to inform you that Badminton Ontario is currently not in the position to deliver tournaments and events in the month of December given the concerning landscape caused by COVID-19. We will be cancelling the events tentatively scheduled for December and will be attempting to work with the host facilities surrounding the possibility to reschedule certain events for a later date. Once again, we will continue to monitor the situation and address the ability to deliver tournament events on a month by month basis
The Badminton Ontario Athlete Card along with the Coach and Official Accreditation renewal process for the 2020-2021 Season has been open. Badminton Ontario has been working on several waivers, agreements, and forms that is being introduced to the badminton community as the renewal process resumes. These documents along with the Return to Play Plan is posted on the website at: http://badmintonontario.ca/covid19-resources/
Updates and notices will be communicated frequently as well as posted on the website.
