Focus on Badminton Skills Clinics

Focus on Badminton Skills Clinics

Badminton Ontario offers a series of Focus Clinics for high school students that help  focus on the strategies involved in each event in badminton; singles, doubles and mixed.

These clinics enable athletes to ‘see the court’ and start devising strategies that will improve individual performance in competition. During the tournament at the end of the clinic, players will have an NCCP Level 1 coaching candidate work with them to execute their goals.

The Focus on Badminton program is run by Expert Coach Wayne King. Mr. King is currently the coach for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues badminton team as well as the head coach of his Ajax club, Phoenix Badminton Club. He has won the Keith Hollands Awards, the most prestigious award from Badminton Ontario, twice for his commitment to quality badminton programs.

The program is broken down into three separate day programs: focus on singles, focus on doubles and focus on mixed doubles.

Cost: $30 per clinic and includes a Black Knight sponsored shirt, instruction, tournament prizes and take home booklet.

Clinic dates can be found on the Calendar section of our website under Player Development Clinics.
