
Designing Strength Training Programs
Event to be held at the following times and dates:
July 19, 22, 26, 28 and 29 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm (EDT)
After the course, the coach will be able to create workouts, apply them in a weekly program and understand how to fit strength training in their plans.
About This Event
For the Comp Dev coach who is designing their own strength programs this course will increase the knowledge needed to write workouts for a variety of different types of strength training. At the end of the course the coach will be able to identify the type of training adaptation associated with different types of strength training, write workouts, incorporate strength training into a training week, and identify appropriate strength training methods for various phases of the year. A particular emphasis is placed on designing strength programs that transfer over to performance on the field of play.
This workshop will be split into 5 sessions: July 19, 22, 26, 28 and 29 from 7:00 – 9:00pm. You must be able to attend all five sessions to complete the program.
Prerequisites: NCCP Developing Athletic Abilities and working on or completed Competition Development Certification
Cost: $100.00 + HST
