Registration opening on Feb 2, 2022. Will be including U13-19 for singles, doubles, mixed doubles!

Badminton Ontario reserves the right to limit participation capacity or to cancel the tournament if deemed necessary for health and safety considerations.

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

We may limit that parents drop off and pick up only, cannot stay in lounge room or inside the badminton club.

ENTRY
Registration Fee: the entry fee of $65 (one event) + $5 for each additional event, must be paid online for entries to be valid. There is a COVID-19 management fee of $15.
Registration Opens: February 2, 2022 @ 8:00 pm
Registration Deadline: February 11, 2022 @ 11:59 pm or when maximum capacity reached
Maximum Capacity is: 125 participants
Badminton Ontario reserves the right to further restrict or reduce the participation capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions. These limitations will be reviewed and communicated at the close of registration.

EVENTS
Beginning February 2022: Jr B Events will be held in Singles, Doubles, Mixed for U13, U15, U17, and U19 age categories.
Badminton Ontario will be utilizing the Tournament Software online registration system.
Consolations will be held for all competitors defeated in their first round match of the main event draw. It will be the responsibility of each athlete to sign-up for consolations at the draw desk, within 10-minutes of their opening round defeat.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
* Badminton Ontario reserves the right to cancel the tournament if registration is too low.
** All matches may be condensed to one day if the registration deems necessary.
Approximate start times are 9:00 am on both days
Saturday playing all singles matches.
Sunday playing all doubles and mixed doubles matches. .
Please note that start times are estimated and dependent on the number of entries per age group and we may condense matches as we see fit.

Amendments:
Section A, Point 4: Partner requests will be accepted with the re-introduction of doubles and mixed doubles.
Section A, Point 6: Effective February 2022, singles will be played on Saturday, doubles/mixed will be played on Sunday.
Section A, Point 9: Effective February 2022, all three disciplines of singles, doubles, and mixed doubles will be offered.
Section A, Point 10 (a): Effective January 2022, the minimum age of participants will be 5 years old at the time of registration.
Section A, Point 10 (e, iii): Effective February 2022, participants aged 12 yrs + must be double vaccinated at least 14 days (2 weeks) before the competition date. Participants aged 5-11 yrs must be double vaccinated at least 1 day before the competition date.
Section C, Point 4 (b): Effective February 2022, patrons will be required to show the enhance vaccination documents with the government issued QR code for verification. No other forms will be accepted.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS AND RENEWAL
Badminton Ontario has transitioned the membership management portal to the PlayerWeb system.
You will need to renew your membership on PlayerWeb here: https://playerweb.com/#!/memberships/badminton-ontario-2021-membership (this used to be done on the www.badminton.ca webpage but transitioned now). It should prompt you to link to your existing BON ID account when you start the process through PlayerWeb. Please select Competitive B” and it should link to your tournament software account automatically. Then when you log into your tournament software account, it should reflect that you have the Competitive B” membership.
Once the tournament registration opens, then you will be able to log into your tournament software account to register for the tournament online.
