COACHING JOB OPPORTUNITY
Mandarin Badminton Club located at 500 Esna Park Drive, Unit 8, Markham Ontario is currently looking for an experienced Head Badminton Coach with international experience for a full time position for a salary of; $5,000.00 Canadian per month for 35 hours per week.
Mandarin Badminton Club is well known for providing first rate coaching and training for elite level players and also a pleasant environment for recreational players. The Head Badminton Coach will work under and report directly to the Executive Director of the Mandarin Badminton.
Requirements:
n Five years or more of recent coaching experience at a national and international elite level status
n Experience in coaching a national team at an international level
n Proven record of achievement at international level competitions – minimum BWF (Badminton World Federation) top 50 ranking
n Ability to communicate in basic oral English
n Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese is an asset but not mandatory
n Ability to work well within a team environment
n Excellent interpersonal / analytical / evaluation / planning skills
Job Duties
n Review and monitor training and practice sessions
n Design individual personalized training programs for elite players
n Create a positive learning environment for coaches, elite players and recreational players to improve their skills and abilities
n Coach teams in tournaments and exhibition matches whenever required
n Oversee coaching staff and evaluate their performance with annual performance reviews to identify their strengths and weaknesses
n Establish an annual performance evaluation system to monitor and evaluate the progress of elite players and recreational players at all levels
n Train and prepare elite players for competitions, some of which will compete at the national team level and in international competitions
n Oversee the planning, design and implementation of the badminton program in line with the agreed training and competition aims of the Executive Director of the Mandarin Badminton Club.
