Badminton Ontario Champions the Future of the Sport, Naming VICTOR NCS MAX as Official Shuttle for the Junior C Series

TORONTO, ON – Following the launch of their new three-year partnership, Badminton Ontario and VICTOR North America are proud to announce a forward-thinking shift for provincial athlete development. Effective for the upcoming competitive season, the VICTOR NCS MAX has been designated as the official shuttlecock for the Badminton Ontario Junior C Series.

This landmark decision aligns Ontario directly with the global evolution of badminton. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has actively embraced advanced synthetic feather technology in international competition to pioneer long-term sustainability and consistency in the sport. By introducing the VICTOR NCS MAX—a cutting-edge carbon composite synthetic feather shuttlecock—to the Junior C Series, Badminton Ontario is bringing the future of global badminton to the province’s competitive pathways.

Engineered with aerodynamically optimized synthetic feathers and a carbon composite shaft, the NCS MAX accurately replicates the exact flight trajectory, sound, and tactical feel of traditional natural feather shuttles while offering exceptional, predictable durability. This transition ensures that Ontario’s emerging junior athletes train and compete under a modern, uniform standard that reflects the changing landscape of international play.

“The game of badminton is evolving globally, and Badminton Ontario is committed to staying at the forefront of that innovation. By introducing the VICTOR NCS MAX to our Junior C Series, we are embracing the same technological and sustainable advancements being evaluated at the highest international levels by the BWF. This is about providing our junior players with a consistent, modern playing environment that prepares them for the future of the sport.”

— Brian Tjoa, Executive Director of Badminton Ontario

“VICTOR has dedicated years of research to closing the gap between natural and synthetic technology, and the NCS MAX represents a true milestone for the sport. We are thrilled to partner with Badminton Ontario to implement this game-changing technology. This step ensures that young competitors across the province are playing with advanced, reliable equipment that supports modern skill development.”

— Calvin Holoboff, VICTOR North America

By embracing this shift, Badminton Ontario and VICTOR North America are working together to modernize the provincial tournament landscape, prioritizing innovation and a sustainable future for the next generation of players.
