BADMINTON HEAD COACH POSITION

Head Coach, UTM Eagles Varsity Women’s and Men’s Badminton

The UTM Eagles at the University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Head Coach for our Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA), Varsity Women’s and Men’s Badminton program.

Reporting to the Varsity Program Coordinator, key roles and responsibilities to include:

Performing all coaching duties consistent with the operation of a successful varsity sport program, including: Recruitment, team selection, personnel management, team and individual goal setting, technical preparation, practice planning and preparation, game strategy, scheduling, budgeting, evaluation and feedback mechanism, program evaluation, equipment and uniform purchase coordination, supporting and monitoring student-athletes’ academic progress, maintaining regular contact with athletic staff, leading the program in accordance to all UTM, OCAA, and CCAA policies and procedures.

Qualifications
• University degree preferably in kinesiology or physical education or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2 years coaching experience in the CCAA, OCAA, CIS, OUA, club, provincial or national team programs
• Fully certified NCCP Level 2, equivalency considered.
