BADMINTON COACH JOB OPPORTUNITY

Badminton coach

Terms of Employment:

Permanent, Full time, Weekend, Day, Evening, Overtime

Preferred work on Monday to Friday 3PM to 10 PM

Saturday 8:30 AM to 3 PM

Salary:

$30.00/hour, 35.00 Hours per week

Anticipated Start Date (at the least in 3 months): As soon as possible

Location:

8-500 Esna Park Drive, Markham, ON, L3R 1H5

Experience:

Badminton coach experience 3-5 years;

Minimum of 2 years National and/or international competition and award experience;

Possess interest and passion in developing the sport of badminton;

Strong desire and dedication to the development of young athletes to compete in the national/international level;

Excellent listening and communication skills;

Ability to work in a team as well as with little supervision/guidance;

Ability to carry out lessons in both 1:1 and group settings;

Sound knowledge of the rules, skills and strategies involved in badminton;

Ability to motivate and encourage students to push their limits;

Ability to speak a second language is an asset.

Languages:

Speaking English, Read English;

Specific Skills:

Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions;

Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games;

Analyze and evaluate athletes’ or team’s performance.

Essential Skills:

Reading text, Working with others, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning
