2014-2015 Ontario Junior (A) High Performance Badminton Series #4

VENUE: Haber Recreation Centre - Burlington, ON
FORMAT: Tournament format will be Main Round and Consolation Rounds.
AGE GROUPS & CATEGORIES: Girls singles, boys singles, girls doubles, boys doubles, mixed doubles for U10, U12, U14, U16, and U19.

ENTRY FEE: $60 flat fee payable online only. Online tournament registration allows you to pay using your PayPal account OR as a guest using your credit card. All players (including out of province athletes) in Ontario Junior High Performance Series events must have a current Performance (A) Membership Card. You can purchase your card at www.badmintonontario.ca.
ENTRY DEADLINE: Friday, October 31, 2014 at midnight is the entry deadline. Number of Entries may be restricted. Players withdrawing from the tournament must contact their partners and the tournament chair.
WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE: Players withdrawing after the deadline will not receive a refund unless they provide a medical certificate signed by a physician. All refunds are less a $10 administration fee.
LATE ENTRIES: Late entries will be permitted at the discretion of the tournament coordinator and tournament referee and will be subject to a $15 fee in addition to the registration fee.
DEFAULTS: Match times will be scheduled for the main round events. Players must be prepared to play their matches up to 30 minutes before their posted start time. Default time of 10 minutes after the match has been called.
APPROXIMATE START TIMES: Doubles and Mixed will be played on Saturday starting at 9:00am and 1:00pm, respectively and Singles played on Sunday starting at 9:00am. Please note that start times are estimated and dependent on number of entries per age group and discipline. Players must be prepared to play their matches up to 30 minutes before their posted start time. Draws will be posted no later than Wednesday, October 22, 2014 with times for the first matches.
EYE WEAR: All junior players MUST wear protective eye wear, meeting the ASTM F803 standard, whenever there are more than two players on the same court, at all BON, District or affiliated club activities.
DRESS CODE: Appropriate badminton attire consistent with BWF standards is required. The referee reserves the right to ask a competitor to change inappropriate clothing. Shorts that extend below the knee are deemed inappropriate clothing.
SHUTTLES: 2 feather shuttles will be provided per match and unlimited feather shuttles (at the referee’s discretion) will be provided for all main round finals. Additional shuttles are to be provided by the participants or can be purchased from the tournament coordinator for $2 per shuttle. BON requests that players only use the shuttles of the Series sponsor.
PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO, & EMAIL CONSENT: By registering for this event, you are agreeing to permit photographs and video to be taken of you for the purposes of promoting the sport of badminton and Badminton Ontario. You are also agreeing to receive emails from Badminton Ontario about future events and news items.
