VENUE:
Mandarin Badminton Club – 500 Esna Park Dr. unit 8, Markham Ont.

PARKING:
There is free parking.

EVENTS: 
MD35+, WD35+, XD35+, MD40+, WD40+, XD40+, MD45+, WD45+, XD45+, MD50+, WD50+, XD50+, MD55+, WD55+, XD55+.
Age classification determined by year of birth (e.g., Born in 1983-age group 35+)

ENTRY RESTRICTIONS:
Participants may either play in their own age category and/or play down in a lower age category.
Each participant may only enter into a maximum of 2 doubles events and 2 mixed-doubles events, totalling a maximum of 4 events for the tournament (e.g. MD 45, XD45,MD 40, XD 40)
You do not have to hold a Badminton Ontario players card to enter this event.

ENTRY FEE:
$50 Flat. Entry fee can be paid in cash at the club's front desk on the day of the event.

FORMAT: 
Main round and consolation.

SCHEDULE: 
Men’s and Ladies doubles – Saturday, February 10th, 2018.
Mixed doubles – Sunday, February 11th, 2018.

Registration @ 8:15am
Matches begin @ 9:00am
Specific start times for each event will be posted shortly after registration closes

DEFAULTS:
Match times will be scheduled and posted for the first round for all events
Players must be ready to play for their matches up to 30 minutes before the posted start time
Players will be defaulted if they are unable to play after 10 mins of being called

PRIZES:
Sponsors – Badminton Direct (Forza, Pro Kennex, Kawasaki, Eagle)
Medals will be awarded to the main round draw winners and finalists in each event.
Prizes will also be awarded to the consolation winners.

ENTRY DEADLINE:
Entry deadline is Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at 11:59pm. 
Players withdrawing from the tournament must contact their partner(s) and the tournament chair.
Players withdrawing from the tournament after the deadline will not receive a refund unless a medical note signed by a physician is provided

DRESS CODE:
Appropriate badminton attire is required, such as non-marking court shoes.
Approved safety eyewear (goggles) is highly recommended for all doubles matches.

FOOD and BEVERAGES: 
Please respect your host venue's support by purchasing your snacks at the venue. 

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO CONSENT:
By registering and participating at this event, you are agreeing to part of any photographs or videos that will be taken of you at the tournament, for the purpose of promoting the sport of badminton and TDBA

OTHER INFO:
There will be a limit of two feather shuttles per match provided.
This tournament will be cancelled at the discretion of the tournament organizers if there are not enough participants and will be announced February 5th.
