Light refreshments will be provided as part of your registration fee.
Hot lunch will be available for purchase at the venue.
Food is to be eaten in the lobby/viewing area and not to be brought into the court area.
A block of rooms has been set up at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 100 Pony Drive, Newmarket
Room rate is $149. The block will be released December 29, 2017.

Age categories may be combined if required due to low registration numbers.
Participants may either play in their own age category and/or play down in a lower age category.
Each participant may only enter into a maximum of 1 singles event, 2 doubles events and 2 mixed-doubles events, totalling a maximum of 5 events for the tournament (e.g. MS35, MD35, XD35, MD40, XD40)
You should hold a Badminton Ontario players' card to enter this event, if not, then you will be required to pay a levy fee of $10.00 to enter.
$50 fee for first two events, $5 fee for each additional event. Additional fee of $10 if you do not hold a Badminton Ontario players’ card. Payments are made through PayPal.
Saturday, January 27 all MS and WS; MD and WD up until the finals
Sunday, January 28 all MD and WD Finals; all XD
Registration @ 8:30am
Matches begin @ 9:00am
Specific start times for each event will be posted shortly after registration closes
Match times will be scheduled and posted for the first round for all events
Players must be ready to play for their matches up to 30 minutes before the posted start time
Players will be defaulted if they are unable to play after 10 mins of being called
Medals will be awarded to the main round draw winner and finalist in each event or the top 2 players from a round robin.
Medals will also be awarded to the consolation winner, if consolation is played.
Entry deadline is Sunday, January 21 at 11:59pm.
Players withdrawing from the tournament must contact their partner(s) and the tournament convenor (through email listed below)
Players withdrawing from the tournament after the deadline will not receive a refund unless a medical note signed by a physician is provided
Appropriate badminton attire is required, such as non-marking court shoes.
Approved safety eyewear (goggles) is highly recommended for all doubles matches.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO CONSENT:
By registering and participating at this event, you are agreeing to part of any photographs or videos that will be taken of you at the tournament, for the purpose of promoting the sport of badminton and GBDBA
There will be a limit of two feather shuttles per match provided.
This tournament will be cancelled at the discretion of GBDBA if there are not enough participants and will be announced Monday, January 22.
